In the afternoon of Sept. 24, David Hunting, Vice President of American Merrimack College, and Chinese Representatives paid a visit to HLJIT. President Zhang Hongtian held a meeting with the American delegation. Vice President Bai Yu and Meng Zhongyuan, Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges also attended the meeting.
President Zhang welcomed their visit and gave a brief introduction to HLJIT and construction of majors. He pointed out that there were many similarities of students’ cultivation between the two universities since the two universities are both application-oriented. He hoped the two universities would pay mutual visits in regular time, and have more and further cooperation in students’ exchange, teachers’ training, joint programs, and so on. Vice President David Hunting appreciated the warm reception of HLJIT, and also gave a brief introduction to the development and history of Merrimack College. Through this visit, he expected to establish long-term cooperation with HLJIT, lay the foundation of cooperation, and make more teachers and students join in the exchange program.
